Grass Fed Beef Share

We pride ourselves in creating an environment that prioritizes animal welfare which means all of our animals are 100% pasture raised meaning our beef is 100% grass fed and grass finished. Cows were meant to eat grass! When cows were first introduced into the America they had space and freedom to wander through open fields and the plains eating grass and other vegetation. Their body was built to process grass and fresh vegetation and is happiest and most efficient when eating these things.

 

Grass fed and finished beef is often leaner than its grain fed an counterparts with beatiful yellowed fat showing off the true impact of grass fed. Our beef is a cross of dairy and beef breeds leading to increased marbeling in their meat creating for a great balance of lean but flavorful meat.

 

We have two options available right now:

 

June Option: Heading to the processor on June 27th, only 1 Quarter Share available. Expect incredibly tender and juicy meat! The price is $4.50/hanging weight + processing cost.

Late Fall Option: we do not have a processing date yet, but expect for a date in late fall ( October or November). Expect incredibly tender and juicy meat! The price is $4.50/hanging weight + processing cost.

 

Your deposit today is non refundable, meaning that if you do not send back in your cut list or do not pick up your meat during the specified pick up time, you will not be refunded the deposit. This money covers the processing fee and ensures the farm doens't lose money if you do not respond. This money counts towards your overall cost.

 

All of our meat is taken to Dover Processing aged before being broken down. We will send you a cut list form as soon as your reserve your share to finalize your preferred cuts and then you will recieve a call as soon as your order is ready for pick up! The remainder of payment will be due at pick up.

  • Yields and Pricing

    We are offering 1/4, and 1/2 shares that are first come first serve. They are priced per lb at hanging weight plus the processing fee of approximately $130 for quarters and $260 for halves.

    1/4 shares are expected to be around 100-120# hanging weight and are priced at $/lb + processing fee. Each share varies in size due to the cuts you select. Some cuts remove bones and therefor would have a lower weight yeild. Expect at least 28# of various roasts, 25# of various steaks, 2# of brisket, 3# of stew meat, and 40# of ground beef, plus bones or edible organs if you wish.

    1/2 shares are expected to be around 200-240# hanging weight and are priced at $3.50/lb + processing fee. Each share varies in size due to the cuts you select. Some cuts remove bones and therefor would have a lower weight yeild. Expect at least 55# of various roasts, 50# of various steaks, 5# of brisket, 10# of stew meat, and 70# of ground beef, plus bones or edible organs if you wish.

    Farm food is not eligible for shipping. Please select “local pick up” when checking out and we will coordinate with you directly for pick up.
